This was a pitch for Ubisoft's game The Division with the main purpose of showing off some of the incredible visuals, get new and old players to pre-order the game and generate some buzz before the official lunch at E3.
The site tellsthe story of how a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails.
The website is a timeline backstory of the game, it allows users to follow clues from the different locations, view found footage, read virus reports and replay surveillance data giving users a better understanding of what really is going on in New York.
